Director ILS
ILS is a centre of excellence for research and publication on democratic governance as well as a centre for continuing education on democracy and legislation. Among other functions, the Institute conducts short-term courses for all categories of legislative officers and their support staff with a view to expanding their overall knowledge and performance in different sections of legislative services
Conduct short-term training modules for members of the National and State Assemblies and their staff
Operate as a multi-disciplinary Institute capable of providing world class training, capacity building; research and policy analysis services for the legislature at the Federal, State and Local government levels
Provide the legislators and officials with institutionalized opportunities for problem-oriented studies and systematic training in the various disciplines of legislative institutions, processes and procedures improve capacity of Legislators to sustain and consolidate democratic governance through policy formulation
Train on a continuous basis middle and senior level manpower for the National, State and Local government legislators
