ILS is a centre of excellence for research and publication on democratic governance as well as a centre for continuing education on democracy and legislation. Among other functions, the Institute conducts short-term courses for all categories of legislative officers and their support staff with a view to expanding their overall knowledge and performance in different sections of legislative services
Providing a forum for the fluid exchange of research findings, ideas and observations for legislators, executives, civil society actors, academia and other stakeholders in the legislative arena
